The Incredible List

One of the more popular pages on my website was about a technique called:  The Incredible List.   I recently had a request to re-publish it.  So here you are:

THE INCREDIBLE LIST

This is a super easy technique, and one of my own personal favorites.   It doesn't matter if you "believe in it" or not.    It is very simple to do, doesn't require buying books, tapes, or purchasing programs.   It's almost free.  I say "almost" because...well...you do need a pen and some paper.   That's it.

I can't take credit for this technique, although this is my interpretation and slant on it.  I've seen many like it out there. 

I suspect there aren't many people out there today that don't want abundance and prosperity in their lives.   A better home, more money, their wants and needs fulfilled. 

There are many techniques out there such as meditations, prosperity programs by the big gurus, workshops, and more.   But not everyone can, or wants to do them because of many reasons.  Workshops and programs can be great, but it often takes quite a bit of money and time to be able to sign up, or get to where they are held.  Many people don't have those kinds of resources in the first place.   Kind of difficult to spend money one doesn't have, to make money!

Oh, quite a few of the gurus will say, "well, if you don't make a commitment, the Universe won't think you are serious."   Often what they really mean is, "I want you to spend money on MY program!"     Okay, not all the "gurus" out there are out to just get your money, and trying to shame you into thinking that if you don't spend money on them, you don't deserve or want abundance and prosperity.   However, there are some out there that are like that.

I'm not at all upset by any practitioner wanting to make money!   It's the way of the world -- we want to get paid for our time and energy.  When I was out in the working world, I certainly wanted to get paid for my sessions and workshops.    I'm just against the ones that want to shame people into buying things.   

Well, I'll get off my soapbox, and get back into writing about how to do THE INCREDIBLE LIST. 

As I said, it's pretty much free.  You just need a pen and some paper.  It really is much nicer if you have a notebook of some kind.  You don't need anything fancy - just a steno pad or spiral bound notebook.      It does take some time, but not a whole lot really.   Can you spare maybe 5 to 15 minutes a day?   The longest time commitment is the first time you do it.    So....I've given you the time and costs right up front.  

How to do it?   Well, it's to sit down and write down in a list everything you want:   Goals.  Actual items.  Wishes.    Dreams.   

Basically, one big "wish list".  

The way I do it is to use a notebook.  On the first page I write the date that I am starting this project.     I then write down all the things I want, desire, and have as goals.   In whatever order I think of them.  Doesn't matter if they are big or little.  

The first time I write my list, I take a few moments to think, or visualize, or imagine what that item, goal or wish would look and feel like.    Perhaps I want a new car.   What would that car look like?  What color?   What model and make?       Then I go onto the next item.

After I've made my entire list, I close the notebook and put it away.   Don't show it to anyone.   Then I will review my list anywhere from one to three times a day.   As I review each item, I think about or visualize each item.   You don't have to spend a lot of time doing it.  There is no right or wrong amount of time.   It could be mere seconds, or if you wish, you can spend a few minutes on each item.   I personally find that once I took the time to visualize and get it the way I want it the first time - the entire "picture" comes to me quickly. 

An important part of this technique is that when you obtain one of the items on your list, cross it out.   Or if you find that you want to modify one of your wishes or goals a bit.   BUT instead of just crossing it out - you then re-write the entire list leaving the obtained item out.  (after all, you now have it).     I date the new list and go back to reviewing it one to three times a day.

That's the technique, plain and simple!

Of course I know you have questions.    The technique is really simple, but we, as humans, always tend to complicate things so it seems.  Here are the questions I always got asked:

Why not show it to anyone?    Because then we tend to censor it in some fashion.     Suddenly we think things like, "oh that sounds selfish".   Then we start adding things like "world peace",.   Yes, world peace would be wonderful and that could well be an item you'd want to put on your list.   The point is, whatever is on your list should be something YOU want, and not what you think people would feel is worthy.   It's your list, and what you want, is what you want.   If you keep it private, you are less likely to put things on there just because you should put them on there.  

Can I do this on my computer?   Yes, you can, but I even though I am a very computer oriented person, I still do my list by hand.   The act of actually writing it by hand usually takes a bit more effort, energy, and concentration.   It becomes more of a physical, emotional and spiritual act.  

Why re-write the list each time I get an item on the list?   Several reasons really.  First, it makes each list a brand new project.  This subconsciously informs your brain that you're getting results.   The physical act of writing and visualizing the new list gives it a sort of "oomph".    Once you start needing to rewrite a few lists, you will look forward to it because it means you are receiving things that were on your list.  Success!!

Also, you will note that I said to re-write it if one of your wishes or goals changes a bit.   You might have put down, "I want a new job".  Maybe you find that you ARE receiving job offers, but nothing you'd want.  So, you realize there is more to it.  Maybe you want a new job, BUT it also has to be within a reasonable commuting distance.  Or within a certain pay scale.   Soon, you'll notice that your goals and wishes are less broad, sweeping generalizations, but more specific items.

Why date the lists?   I like to date the lists so that I can go back later and see my progress.  It also shows other changes, such as learning how to fine tune your wishes to ask specifically for what you want, rather than broad, sweeping generalizations.  You also may notice things like you have become more self-confident.   It can be very interesting.  

Do I have to believe in it for it to work?   No.  Once you start having success, you'll be your own judge.

Can I put anything down?   Pretty much.   If you truly think something is totally impossible, then it's not likely you'll be able to obtain it.   Personally, I have a built-in program running in my mind that it is not right for me to try and control other people.  So, I'm not likely to put something down that would take away someone else's free will.    This is not to say that you shouldn't try for some really difficult goals! 

What I mean by truly impossible is for example, in MY mind, putting something like, "in one year I'd like to live on Mars" is not something I truly believe could happen.   Maybe it could...but it's not what I believe.   Let's say though that I put down "I will receive five million dollars".    That's a big, and probably a difficult goal.  It could happen, so why should I not try for it?  

Relationships:   This one can get a little tricky as far as the "free will" thing.   It is probably better to put something like, "I would like a fulfilling relationship with a man/woman who is kind, funny, honest, (fill in your wishes), than "I want George Clooney to fall in love with me."     

Okay, I used ol' George here as sort of a joke, actually I'm more into Hawaii 5-0 star Alex O'Loughlin.   But the point is, putting a specific person does get into the area of trying to restrain someone else's free will.   As far as Alex or George, for me it wouldn't work, because I simply truly wouldn't believe it.   

I probably could write volumes on this subject.  The best bet is probably to define what it is you want in a relationship, and then let the Universe respond.  Maybe the person you would like will become open - on their own?   Maybe you will find it's that someone would have to completely change to be something other than they are in order for it to work - thereby helping you realize that it's just not the right person for you?   Food for thought, I guess.

Okay, to put this back to simple, here are the steps:

1.  Get a notebook and pen.
2.  Write down everything you want - wishes, goals, hopes dreams.
3.  Think about each item as you write it.
4.  Date the list and put it away.
5.  Review each day, one to three times.
6.   Re-write the list any time something changes:  either fine-tuning the list, or when you receive something.
7.   Smile!

My Webinar Experience with Claudia Schecter

A short while ago, I posted about a Webinar that Claudia Schecter would be having using EFT and Matrix Reimprinting.   A webinar is a workshop or event that people can participate in either by dialing in and listening by telephone, or using an Internet link.    It's a wonderful way to be able to attend events without having to leave one's home.  

I love workshops!  The problem is that most of the workshops I'd like to go to are miles and miles away from me.  I can't just pack up and go off to England, Canada, LA, Boston or New York City to attend them.   A webinar offers the ability to attend without leaving my house.

Many of the "big" names offer no-cost or low-cost webinars.   An argument that I have heard, and which is true in some cases, is that a webinar is really just advertising.  Basically, only just an online infomercial.  I've attended them myself -- an hour long rah-rah "buy my product" event.

The wonderful thing is that so many are not that way.  True, the people who hold the webinars likely hope you subscribe to their newsletters or will decide to have a session with them someday.   But the webinars that they hold have substance and stand on their own as a worthwhile investment of your time and energy.

Back to Claudia Schecter's webinar.   I was lucky enough to be offered the chance to be her client for that event, and I readily and happily agreed.   Although I have experienced EFT many times and have taken levels one and two, this was my first experience with Matrix Reimprinting. 

The theme of Claudia's webinar was "The Fear of Success".   On the surface that might sound like an odd thing, why would anyone fear success?   Success is good, right?   The problem is that many of us, deep down inside have some limiting beliefs about success.  Often those limiting beliefs are subconscious and we have no idea exactly what they are.  

With all of the events in my life in the past two to three years, I know I have issues in that area.   Actually I know there are many issues for me to work on.  Even with my training in hypnosis, Reiki, EFT, and healing, I didn't know where to start.

So sitting back and having a trained EFT/Matrix Reimprinting practitioner work with me was not only a treat, but a real stride towards toppling those limitations. 

In the session with Claudia she first talked with me about where or how I felt I might be experiencing difficulties.    She then used my words to allow me to recall an early time in my life when those feelings first emerged.  


I am including a link to the the audio from the webinar which demonstrates how Claudia brought me to an early memory of a teacher chiding me.   We had been told to draw what we wanted to be when we grew up.  I had chosen to draw about becoming a doctor.  The teacher told me that I could not be a doctor because I was a girl! 

Yes, that really did happen.   If you, the reader are younger, then you are probably shaking your head.  However, back in the 1950's and 1960's, it was common thinking.  Girls became housewives and mothers, and IF they worked outside the home their choices were few.

Many other girls my age were probably told the same type of thing.  In my case, I know it had an impact upon me that was far-reaching.  Claudia's session with me has helped chip away a block and limitation that has no use in my life today.

Interestingly, with EFT and Matrix Reimprinting, other people can listen to sessions and use what is called "Borrowing Benefits".    The listener can tap along with the client and receive benefits from the tapping session even though their experiences are not the same.   I will do a post about Borrowing Benefits in greater detail in the future.  For now, if you choose to listen to the recording of my session, simply take some time before you listen to think of a time or event in your life when you first recall having feelings of not deserving, being allowed, or good enough of having success.  Then tap along with my session even though my experience isn't the same with yours.

Is it Always Mommy & Daddy's Fault?

When we use EFT and Matrix Reimprinting, we are directed to recall the first time we ever felt a certain way.  The first time we felt bullied, ignored, scared, unloved, or whatever feeling or emotion that we are hoping to work clear.

Often a client will go to a practitioner's office to work on something that is bothering them now.  Perhaps the client isn't feeling like his or her co-workers and bosses are treating them with respect.   Maybe they wonder why they are overweight now.   Or why they keep sabotaging themselves just when they are about to be successful.  Chances are, in most cases, this is part of a pattern and the client has had this issue in their lives before.

Therefore the practitioner will direct the client to recall another time they felt that way.   It is helpful to go back to that memory, and it's common to go to an incident in childhood.

And that of course can lead to something Mommy or Daddy said or did.  While it's true that there are parents out there that shouldn't be parents, there are plenty who are wonderful parents.  They try their hardest to be the best parents possible.   I know my parents never tried to inflict serious psychological trauma on me.  I'm a parent and I know I only wanted to make sure my son knew he was loved deeply.

Yet most of us have traumas in our pasts.  Or they are traumas to us.   I feel it's perspective in many cases.   Mom or Dad didn't wish to make little Suzie feel unloved when they left her home while they went to dinner.   Suzie may have been left with a totally great babysitter.  Yet Suzie may have felt unloved in that moment in time.    It isn't always what it was, but rather what we feel it was.

In EFT we aren't trying to place blame.   You don't need to feel guilty that you are maligning your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers --or any other authority figure.    The point of EFT is to release the emotions around the event.

What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)?

What is EFT? 

EFT stands for:  Emotional Freedom Technique.  It's a meridian based energy psychology therapy.  Huh?

More simply, the human body has energy fields that flow along meridian points.  Chinese acupuncture for example uses these meridians.   You could also call them pathways throughout the body.   EFT uses several of these points.   Instead of using needles like acupuncture, the fingertips are used to "tap" on the points.  Eft is a non-invasive technique.

The theory behind EFT is that all emotional upsets are caused by disturbances in the body's energy system.   If one corrects that disturbance, then the emotional upset will dissipate and release. 

The points that are most commonly used are located on the head and face, with additional points on the hand and chest.   
In using EFT, the points are "tapped on" while using phrases to help focus in on the problem or disruption being worked on.  

TH:  Top of the head
EB:   Beginning of the eyebrow
SE:   Side of the eye
UE:   Under the eye
UN:   Under the nose
UL:   Under the lip
CB:   Beginning of the collarbone
UA:   Under the arm

Additional points that can be (but not always) used are:

The gamut point which is on the hand, the wrists, and the fingers.

First, the problem that one wishes to work on is established.  For example, "I am fearful of making a mistake."   The more specific one is, the better the results.   The example given is quite general (or global), so if one can whittle it down, it's better.   For example, "I always make mistakes when I'm called on in class".

Then one would rate the level of anxiety, fear, or discomfort using a from "zero to ten" scale.  This is called the SUDS scale.  The higher the number, the more intense the level of discomfort.

A set-up phrase is used to start the tapping process.   "Even though I always make mistakes when I'm called on in class, I completely accept and love myself."

That phrase is repeated at least three times while tapping on the karate point, which is on the hand.

Then the points on the head, face, and chest are tapped on while saying reminder phrases.  Reminder phrases are just short simple phrases about the problem.  They help to keep you focused on the problem you are working on. 

For example:

TH:    This fear
EB:    Making mistakes
SE:    I mess up
UE:    Always make mistakes
UN:    All those mistakes
UL:    Hate making mistakes
CB:    Afraid of mistakes

You would continue tapping on the points.   Once around each point is called a round of tapping.    You may wish to do three or four rounds.

After the last round, take a deep breath and release it.   Then re-check your SUDS level.   It should be less than you started with.

EFT is one technique that you can do on yourself.  However, for really traumatic  problems you should consult a trained EFT therapist.

What is Matrix Reimprinting?

About Matrix Reimprinting
Matrix Reimprinting is a brand new Meridian Tapping Therapy that everybody is talking about. It is effective for the treatment of emotional or physical issues, it can also be used to manifest your goals and dreams. It evolved from the popular self-help technique EFT.
 
Like it’s predecessors, Matrix Reimprinting also uses the Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian system that has been used in acupuncture for thousands of years. EFT has a long and impressive history of resolving physical and emotional health issues. The way it works is that you bring to mind and verbalise, in a specific manner, an issue that you want to work with.
 
At the same time you tap on points on your meridians with your fingers, and this releases stress and trauma from the body’s energy system, allowing the body-mind to return to a healthy physical and emotional state. So how does Matrix Reimprinting differ from this already established technique? Well, having evolved from EFT, it also contains some important differences. What you are left with is to be able to recall your most traumatic and stressful life memories without any emotional disruption or stress, which is obviously extremely useful, as negative past memories keep the body in a state of stress and can contribute to disease. However, with Matrix Reimprinting the memory is actually transformed. You can go into any past memory, say and do what you wished you’d said and done, bring in new resources, and create and transform the picture you have of that memory. 
 
In Matrix Reimprinting we see these past negative memories as being held as pictures or holograms in your body-field. Until you transform them you keep tuning into them on a subconscious level and they affect your health, your wellbeing and your point of attraction. Changing the pictures creates both physical and emotional healing, and enables you to attract more positive experiences into your life. And by tapping on the meridians of the body at the same time, the process is accelerated.
 
It is important to recognize that this process is very different from denying what happened. From a quantum physics point of view we have any number of possible pasts or futures, and it is simply tuning us into one that is more resourceful, whilst releasing the stress and trauma that we hold in our body-mind and body-field, due to traumatic life events.
 
Matrix Reimprinting has grown into a whole host of exciting protocols, including ones which can transform:

  • Phobias
  • Allergies
  • Negative core-beliefs
  • Birth traumas
  • Relationships issues
…and many more. You can even work with past-lives and future selves, and also enhance your work with the Law of Attraction.

Welcome to my journey

Hello Everyone,

I've decided to do a blog about my "Journey Back to Me".   Several years ago I was one of the most positive-minded and happy individuals there was.   I had one of the largest websites on the internet called the Cyber Psychic.   I was well known for my readings, healing modalities, and workshops.

Then I slowly started fading away as illness overtook me.  How could this happen?   After all, I taught and used many of the leading edge healing modalities.

As my illness took over, somehow I lost "me" in the process.  


As I've stated, I know many healing modalities.  What I realize now, is that I often used them on other people, but I never really took the time to work on me.   Well,it's time.

This blog is going to be about my journey towards getting that positive, happy, healthy and full of life "me" back.


As with all journeys, the path may not be always easy and full of sunshine and roses.    This is my personal journey, so I may not always be exciting or fun to read.   I do, hope however, that it's a helpful blog - both for you and I truly hope so for me.
